The SW1 couples a high excursion, down-firing 11"
subwoofer with a dedicated 250-watt amplifier to create a small-sized system
that provides a solid foundation for any sound system. Suitable for single
subwoofer applications in smaller rooms, it can also be utilized in pairs or
arrays in larger listening areas.
Many subwoofers being advertised today claim output in the
20 - 30 Hz range. Few will mention the relative decibel level at this
frequency. The SW1 features true subwoofer performance with a -3dB point of
22Hz and extension below 20Hz.
The amplifier features 250 dedicated watts and is switch
selectable for high-pass cutoffs at fixed frequencies of 55, 80, 100 and 140
Hz, in addition to bypass mode. This provides for easy integration with most
surround sound receivers that feature bass management. Both can be set for the
same frequency.
The result is a system that provides exceptionally clean,
tight and dynamic bass, yet rolls out quickly to allow the main speakers to
perform in their optimum frequency range.
No subwoofer sold at retail in its price range can match
the effortless performance of the SW1. Perfect for music or movie soundtracks,
