SoundScape C center channel overview
the story
After the introduction of the SoundScape 10’s and 12’s, questions immediately began to
arise about center channel and surround speaker availability for the SoundScape series.
Naturally, those with acoustically transparent screens could use a third SoundScape as
their center channel. And by orienting the woofer section horizontally, a full-fledged
SoundScape could be used below the screen.
The use of a SoundScape 10 or 12 in this fashion is obviously ideal. But for many, a
third SoundScape speaker is simply not feasible due to space or budgetary
considerations. So we began to explore alternatives.
the plan of attack
Since having the same drivers across all three front speakers is ideal, the decision was
made to develop a 3-way center channel using the same RAAL ribbon and Accuton
midrange used in the SoundScape 10’s and 12’s. But since the size of the cabinet
required for even the 10” SoundScape woofer was simply not feasible, we looked at
using a very similar 7” aluminum cone driver.
With the appropriate drivers in hand, the SoundScape C was born.

The SoundScape C is a true 3-way center channel featuring the incomparable RAAL
ribbon tweeter, an Accuton midrange and a pair of 7” aluminum cone long throw
woofers. The design is front-ported allowing for maximum placement flexibility. And at
88db sensitivity, it is an easy load for almost any amplifier/receiver.
