The HT1's utilize the G2 ribbon tweeter, an extremely low-mass driver that is significantly faster than a traditional dome tweeter. As such, it can faithfully track instantaneous transients in music or cinema sound, resulting is a level of high-end detail that simply must be heard to be appreciated.

Ribbon tweeters, in general, are known both for their incredible speed and for their lack of vertical dispersion. This limited vertical dispersion means that less sound will be directed to, and reflected off of, the floor and ceiling. Since directional cues will not be "muddied" by as much reflected sound, the result is extremely precise imaging. A real plus in cinema audio, this trait allows you to determine the location and source any sound with pinpoint accuracy.

A tweeter as detailed and accurate as the G2 requires a mid-woofer capable of a high level of detail. We chose the high-sensitivity version of the Seas W18 mid/woofer from their top-tier Excel performance line. This low-mass magnesium cone driver is among the most dynamic and detailed midrange drivers available. It is a perfect complement to the speed of the G2 tweeter.
