HT3

October

After finishing the Veracity HT3 prototype, I was anxious to build a pair for myself.

I decided to do a pair in bubinga using a highly figured bubinga veneer with bubinga pomele for the front baffles and plinths (bases). This was also the first pair I built with actual production (sub) woofers.

When I placed an order for the manufacturing run, I asked TC Sounds to use raw aluminum instead of powder-coating it black. I like the looks of this driver.

off to Massachusetts...soon

Well, as it turns out, about four days after I finished this pair, Brand Johnson asked if he could have them. He had been talking to me about a heil design I was working on. In the process, I kept updating him on the progress of the HT3 project. He probably got so tired of hearing about it, he finally decided to purchase this pair.

off to Iowa

I told Brad that the Iowa DIY 2004 event was taking place soon and that I promised I would bring a pair of HT3's and couldn't build another pair in time for it. So he would have to wait until the event was over to take delivery. Good thing he agreed.

This pair of Veracity HT3's won first place in the "Unlimited Class" at the Iowa event! As soon as it was over, they were on their way to Brad.

Happy listening Brad!

Well, I can't very well be without a pair of HT3's, now can I?

Stay tuned...
