August # 2
It's deja vu all over again...
Bubinga is certainly the most requested HT3 finish. And
we just completed and shipped not one, but two new pairs.
Leon Pence's HT3's
Leon saw the bubinga speakers we produced for Kristi
Hanson and fell in love with that finish. So I searched for and found a new
batch of some really nice waterfall bubinga and a piece of nicely figured
bubinga for the front baffles.
Bubinga veneer seems to be readily available, but
bubinga hardwood is getting harder and harder to find, especially in the widths
required for HT3 front baffles. We were lucky with these two pairs as we found
some really nice boards for both of them.
Leon opted for the Sonicap upgrade in his pair.

Wing Ng's HT3's
Wing's HT3's were the next out of the veneer press.
You might notice that there are no spikes on either of
these pairs of speakers. They have not been eliminated, but our supplier has
them on backorder at present. The spikes will be shipped as soon as they arrive
and the plinth inserts are already installed. So once the spikes arrive, we
will send them on their way. I might also point out that the woofer grills for
these speakers were not finished in time for the pictures, but were shipped
with the speakers.
The front baffles on Wing's HT3's are bubinga pommele.
This was another great find as all forms of bubinga are currently in short
supply and the price is rising rapidly for existing stocks. A few years down
the line these speakers may go for a premium since it may not be possible to
secure the hardwood for the front baffles.

We are close to finishing up a unique pair of Veracity
