QW

August

Kevin Olson had once worked in retail audio and has over 30 years experience as a dedicated audiophile. So choosing a new speaker system was a critical decision. He also wanted a "piece of art" with a high wife approval factor.

We emailed back and forth for quite a while discussing finishing options and settled on fiddleback anegre with walnut trim and claro walnut front baffles. He also requested outboard crossover enclosures.

We used the same fiddleback anegre and walnut for the crossover enclosures. Neutrik Speak-On connectors were used to connect the crossovers to the speakers themselves.

Kevin commented that, "The QW's are playing beautiful music and looking like art in my living room. Non-audiophile friends are describing audiopohile 'hearing.' It's amazing."

Happy listening Kevin!

what's next?

I know I promised these last month, but a number of other speaker projects got in the way. But I'm close to finishing a pair of HT1's in cinnamon burl with bosse pomele front baffles. I'm also close to finishing a pair of macassar ebony HT1's with beautiful claro walnut front baffles. These will be the richest looking pair I have ever produced. And there are a few other surprises we'll be ready to announce shortly.

Stay tuned...
