The Story
Barry Hii saw some photos of a pair of HT3's I did about
a year ago and wanted the same combination.
The English fiddle-back sycamore was not a problem. But
I've been searching for some American spalted sycamore (not related) every
since I did the original pair and have not run a nice piece since. So I
searched the wood pile.
Sure enough, I found some pieces of the original boards
and they were just large enough to fashion some new baffles for this pair.
The unfortunate thing is, it won't be possible to
re-create this in the future. I'll have to find some other wolid wood to use
for the front baffles.
