HT3

March # 1

The Story

Brian Jones wanted a pair of bubinga HT3's (and a single bubinga HT1 for a center channel). But he had quite a list of special requests.

First, he wanted the cabinets fashioned from baltic birch plywood. He wanted the Sonicap upgrade, Blackhole 5, Cardas "Patented" posts, special internal wiring, outboard crossover enclosures, shorter grills and a very special piece of highly-figured bubinga for the front baffles, trim and plinths.

We did our best to find a really nice piece of bubinga lumber. It was highly figured, but a little too narrow. So we had to splice it together. In the process, we had the piece re-sawn so we could splice book-matched pairs of front baffles.

What's next?

Stay tuned...
