HT2

The Story

Doug Harrison wanted a dual midwoofer version of our HT1. Unfortunately, that is not a possiblity. But his request motivated us to develop a new MTM speaker design we call the HT2.

This design is available as a sealed monitor (shown here) and as a ported floor-standing speaker.

Doug actually ordered three of these speakers to anchor his home theater/multi-channel music system. And since he did not want to be distracted while watching a movie, he requested black cabinets.

Normally, black cabinets would not be designated VOTM. However, in this case, we thought it would be appropriate. The W18's used in this pair featured black cones and the LCY tweeter had a large black faceplate. So we referred to these speakers as the "Stealth" speakers - designed to be heard but un-seen.

What's next?

Stay tuned...
